Il prossimo 21 ottobre si inaugura la prima esposizione romana dedicata all'artista che ha ideato tutti i progetti grafici che hanno accompagnato la musica dei Radiohead (spesso in collaborazione con Thom Yorke, celato sotto lo pseudonimo di Tchock), da The Bends in poi: Stanely Donwood. La mostra, intitolata Red Maze, si terrà presso la galleria Mondo Bizzarro, ed andrà avanti sino al 21 di dicembre.

Stamattina c'è il sole, ed un nuovo brano degli Interpol in download gratuito sul sito ufficiale: le due cose sono in forte antitesi tra loro, ma potrebbero entrambe preludere ad una buona giornata. Dopo quasi tre anni di silenzio, infatti, parzialmente interrotti dall'esperienza solista di Carl Banks con lo pseudonimo di Julian Plenti, la band di New York City svela il nuovo logo, ed al contempo rende disponibile un assaggio dell'attesissimo quarto album della propria storia, ancora senza un titolo, nè una data d'uscita, ma a questo punto un poco più vicino...

VOLCANO (KID A BLIP)/RADIOHEAD

Sarà pretestuoso, ma le immagini dell'eruzione del vulcano sul ghiacciao Eyjafjallajökull in Islanda, che in questi giorni stanno facendo il giro del mondo, ricordano tanto quelle del progetto grafico di Kid A dei Radiohead (da molti ritenuto il miglior disco del decennio appena trascorso) ideato dall'artista inglese Stanley Donwood in collaborazione con Thom Yorke (con lo pseudonimo di Tchock).
