LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: THE DARK OF THE MATINÉE/FRANZ FERDINAND
You take your white finger
Slide the nail under the top and bottom buttons of my blazer
Relax the fraying wool, slacken ties
And I'm not to look at you in the shoe, but the eyes
So find me and follow me through corridors, refectories and files
You must follow, leave this academic factory
You will find me in the matinee
The dark of the matinee
It's better in the matinee
The dark of the matinee is mine
Yes it's mine
I time every journey to bump into you, accidentally
I charm you and tell you of the boys I hate
All the girls I hate
All the words I hate
The clothes I hate
How I'll never be anything I hate
You smile, mention something that you like
How you'd have a happy life if you did the things you like
So find me and follow me through corridors, refectories and files
You must follow, leave this academic factory
You will find me in the matinee
The dark of the matinee
It's better in the matinee
The dark of the matinee is mine
Yes it's mine
So I'm on BBC2 now, telling Terry Wogan how I made it
What I made is unclear, but his deference is and his laughter is
My words and smile are so easy now
Yes, It's easy now
Yes, It's easy now
So find me and follow me through corridors, refectories and files
You must follow, leave this academic factory
You will find me in the matinee
The dark of the matinee
It's better in the matinee
The dark of the matinee is mine
Yes it's mine

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: CAN'T STOP FEELING/FRANZ FERDINAND
My soul starts spinning again
I can't stop feeling
No, I won't stop feeling
And the fun's not fun anymore
I can't stop feeling
No, I won't stop feeling
And you leave me here on my own
Yeah you leave me here on the floor
You can't feel it
And you can't feel it
You can't feel it
And you can't feel anymore
Soul boy, down and alone
And his soul is broken again
But you can't stop moving
No you won't stop moving along
My soul starts spinning again
I can't stop feeling
No, I don't stop feeling
And we're not us anymore
I can't stop feeling
No, I won't stop feeling
And you leave me dancing alone
Yeah you leave me to die on the floor
You can't feel it
No you can't feel it
You can't feel it
And you can't feel anymore
Feel anymore, feel anymore
Feel anymore

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: WALK AWAY/FRANZ FERDINAND
I swapped my innocence for pride
Crushed the end within my stride
Said I'm strong now I know that I'm a leaver
I love the sound of you walking away
Mascara bleeds a blackened tear
And I am cold
Yes, I'm cold
But not as cold as you are
I love the sound of you walking away
Why don't you walk away?
Why don't you walk away?
No buildings will fall down
Why don't you walk away?
No quake will split the ground
Why don't you walk away?
The sun won't swallow the sky
Why don't you walk away?
Statues will not cry
Why don't you walk away?
I cannot turn to see those eyes
As apologies may rise
I must be strong and stay an unbeliever
And love the sound of you walking away
Mascara bleeds into my eye
I'm not cold
I am old
At least
As old as you are
As you walk away?
As you walk away?
My headstone crumbles down
As you walk away
The Hollywood winds a-howl
As you walk away
The Kremlin's falling
As you walk away
Radio Four is static
As you walk away
The stab of stiletto
On a silent night
Stalin Smiles
Hitler laughs
Churchill claps
Mao Tse Tung

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: NO YOU GIRLS/FRANZ FERDINAND
Oh, kiss me
Flick your cigarette, then kiss me
Kiss me where your eye won't meet me
Meet me where your mind won't kiss me
Flick your eyes and mind and then hit me
Hit me with your eyes so sweetly
Oh, you know, you know, you know you that
Yes I love, I mean I'd
Love to get to know you
Do you never wonder?
No, no, no, no you girls never know
Oh no, you girls'll never know
No you girls never know
How you make a boy feel
You girls never know
Oh no, you girls'll never know
No you girls never know
How you make a boy feel
How you make a boy
Oh, kiss me
Flick your cigarette, and then kiss me
Kiss me where your eye won't meet me
Meet me where your eye won't flick me, uh
Flick your mind and mine so briefly
Oh ya know, ya know ,ya so sweetly
Oh, you know, you know I know that
I love you I mean I
I mean I need to love
Do you never wonder?
No, no, no, no you girls never know
Oh no, you girls'll never know
No you girls never know
How you make a boy feel
You girls never know
Oh no, you girls'll never know
No you girls never know
How you make a boy feel
How you make a boy feel
How you make a boy
Sometimes I say stupid things
But I think, well I mean I
Sometimes I think the stupidest things
Because I never wonder
How the girl feels
Oh, how the girl feels
No you boys never care
Oh no, you boys'll never care
No you boys never care
How the girl feels
You boys never care
You dirty boys'll never care
No you boys never care
How the girl feels
Oh, how the girl feels
Oh, how the girl feels
Oh, how the girl feels

ASCOLTI: TONIGHT: FRANZ FERDINAND/FRANZ FERDINAND, TO LOSE MY LIFE/WHITE LIES
ULYSSES/FRANZ FERDINAND

While I sit in here, a sentimental face stares
And a voice says hi so
So what you gotta what you gotta disdain
C’mon let’s get high
C’mon look so, you got next oh
Walk twenty five miles oh
Well I’m bored I’m bored
C’mon let’s get high
C’mon let’s get high
C’mon let’s get high
High
Well I found a new way
I found a new way
C’mon doll and use me
I don’t need your sympathy
La, la la la la
Ulysses
I’ll find a new way
I’ll find a new way, baby
My Ulysses, My Ulysses
No, bet you are now, boy
So sinister, so sinister
Last night was wild
What’s a matter there, feeling kinda anxious?
That heart that grew cold
Yeah everyone, everybody knows it
Yeah everyone, everybody know it
Everybody knows I
La, la la la la
Ulysses
I’ll find a new way
I’ll find a new way, baby
La, la la la la
Ulysses
I’ll find a new way
Well I’ll find a new way, baby oh
Oh, then suddenly you know
You’re never going home
You’re never you’re never you’re never you’re never you’re never you’re never
You’re never going home
Not Ulysses, baby.
No, la la la la whooo whoo
You’re not Ulysses, whooo whoo
La la la la, whooo whoo
