Lying in a field of glass Underneath the overpass Mangled in the shards of a metal frame Woken from the dream by my own name Well I was such a wretched man Searching everywhere for a homeland And now we are under the same sun Feel it through the leaves Let it heal us
We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore
We were both broken in our own ways Sifting through the rubble for the wrong things I know you've got a vengeful heart And I cannot be stopped as soon as I start But you have seen your darkest rooms And I have slept in makeshift tombs And this is where we find our peace This is where we are at least
We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore
We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore We are the same We are both safe Underneath the sycamore

This fire grows higher This fire grows higher This fire grows higher This fire grows higher
When there's a burning in your heart An endless yearning in your heart Build it bigger than the sun Let it grow, let it grow When there's a burning in your heart Don't be alarmed
This fire grows higher
When there's a doubt within your mind Because you're thinking all the time Framing rights into wrongs Move along, move along When there's a doubt within your mind When there's a burning in your heart And you think it'll burst apart Or there's nothing to feel Save the tears, save the tears When there's a burning in your heart
And if you feel just like a tourist in the city you were born Then it's time to go And define your destination There's so many different places to call home Because when you find yourself the villain In the story you have written it's plain to see That sometimes the best intentions are in need of redemptions Would you agree? If so please show me
This fire grows higher This fire grows higher
When there's a burning in your heart When there's a burning in your heart This fire grows higher
How I wish you could see the potential The potential of you and me It's like a book elegantly bound But in a language you can't read just yet You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart
There are days when outside your window I see my reflection as I slowly pass And I long for this mirrored perspective When we'll be lovers, lovers at last You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart I will possess your heart I will possess your heart
You reject my advances and desperate pleas I won't let you let me down so easily So easily You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart You got to spend some time, love You got to spend some time with me And I know that you'll find love I will possess your heart I will possess your heart I will possess your heart

JONATHAN LOW/VAMPIRE WEEKEND (TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE Soundtrack) DEAR BOY/DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE (DEAR BOY EP) DELIRIOUS NIGHT - ROUGH MIX (VOCAL)/THE CURE (DISINTEGRATION Deluxe Edition)
No More Stories Are Told Today I'm Sorry They Washed Away No More Stories The World Is grey I'm Tired Let's Wash Away.

IL CONCERTO DELL'ANNO: EDITORS + THE MACCABEES + WINTERSLEEP (Roma/Teatro Tendastrisce) 03/12/09
SMOKERS OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL DOORS

Meet me on the equinox Meet me halfway The sun is perched at its highest peak In the middle of the day Let me give my love to you Let me take your hand And as we walk in the dimming light Oh, darling understand That everything, everything ends That everything, everything ends
Meet me on your best behavior Meet me at your worst For there will be no stone unturned Or bubble left to burst Let me lay beside you darling Let me be your man And let our bodies intertwine But always understand That everything, everything ends That everything, everything ends That everything, everything Everything ends
A window An open tomb The sun crawls across your bedroom A halo A waning moon Your last breath moving through you
As everything, everything ends As everything, everything ends As everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything ends
Meet me on the equinox Meet me halfway The sun is perched at its highest peak In the middle of the day And let me give my love to you Let me take your hand And as we walk in the dimming light Oh, darling understand That everything, everything ends
I want to live where soul meets body And let the sun wrap its arms around me And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing And feel, feel what it's like to be new
Because in my head there's a Greyhound station Where I send my thoughts to far-off destinations So they may have a chance of finding a place Where they're far more suited than here
I cannot guess what we'll discover When we turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels But I know our filthy hands can wash one another's And not one speck will remain
I do believe it's true That there are roads left in both of our shoes But if the silence takes you Then I hope it takes me too So, brown eyes, I'll hold you near Because you're the only song I want to hear A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
Where soul meets body Where soul meets body Where soul meets body
And I do believe it's true That there are roads left in both of our shoes But if the silence takes you Then I hope it takes me too So, brown eyes, I'll hold you near Because you're the only song I want to hear A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere
01. MEET ME ON THE EQUINOX/DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE 02. FRIENDS/BAND OF SKULLS 03. HEARING DAMAGE/THOM YORKE 04. POSSIBILITY/LYKKE LI 05. A WHITE DEMON LOVE SONG/THE KILLERS 06. THE VIOLET HOUR/SEA WOLF 12. SHOOTING THE MOON/OK GO 13. SLOW LIFE/GRIZZLY BEAR 14. NO SOUND BUT THE WIND/EDITORS 15. NEW MOON (THE MEADOW)/ALEXANDRE DESPLAT
Pity, take pity on me Because I'm not half the man that I should be I'm always turning to run From the people I should not be afraid of And darling, you should know That I have fantasies about being alone It's like love is a lesson That I can't learn So I make the same mistakes at each familiar turn
I know you can't hold out forever Waiting on a diamond and a tether From a boy who won't swim But who will dip his toe in Just to keep you here with him
I've got this habit I abhor When we go out, I'm always watching the door As if there's someone I'm going to see Who could out-do the things that you do to me
I know you can't hold out forever Waiting on a diamond and a tether From a boy who won't fly But who will take to the skies If he thinks you're about to say goodbye
Pity, take pity on me Because I'm not half the man that I should be And I don't blame you, you've had enough With all these empty promises and countless bluffs
I know you can't hold out forever Waiting on a diamond and a tether From a boy who won't jump When he falls in love He just stands with his toes on the edge And he waits for it to disappear again
