Green light, Seven Eleven You stop in for a pack of cigarettes
You don't smoke, don't even want to
Hey now, check your change
Dressed up like a car crash
Your wheels are turning but you're upside down
You say when he hits you, you don't mind
Because when he hurts you, you feel alive
Hey babe, is that what it is
Red lights, gray morning
You stumble out of a hole in the ground
A vampire or a victim
It depends on who's around
You used to stay in to watch the adverts
You could lip synch to the talk shows
And if you look, you look through me
And when you talk, you talk at me
And when I touch you, you don't feel a thing
If I could stay
Then the night would give you up
Stay and the day would keep its trust
Stay and the night would be enough
Faraway, so close
Up with the static and the radio
With satelite television
You can go anywhere
Miami, New Orleans, London, Belfast and Berlin
And if you listen I can't call
And if you jump, you just might fall
And if you shout, I'll only hear you
If I could stay
Then the night would give you up
Stay then the day would keep its trust
Stay with the demons you drowned
Stay with the spirit I found
Stay and the night would be enough
Three o'clock in the morning
It's quiet and there's no one around
Just the bang and the clatter
As an angel runs to ground
Just the bang
And the clatter
As an angel
Hits the ground
When I woke up today, the air was very strange I couldn't feel my skin and there was evil in my bones I tried to speak but found that I didn't have a voice It was a prison like the one you would find in the twilight zone
And I feel just like Sigourney Weaver When she had to kill those aliens And one guy tried to get them back to the earth And she couldn't believe her ears
So I was taken or I went towards what was west Where the ground was dead and struvk out at the giant sky The sky was black and filled with tiny silver holes And it was there with the frightened voice that I began to cry out loud
I feel just like Winona Ryder In that movie about vampires And she couldn't get that accent right I neither could that other guy
And I feel just like I am on Jupiter One man looks like rainbows, sure But it doesn't lend itself to life And I haven't finished yet

I was a heavy heart to carry My beloved was weighed down My arms around his neck My fingers laced a crown I was a heavy heart to carry My feet dragged across the ground And he took me to the river Where he slowly let me drown
My love has concrete feet My love's an iron ball Wrapped around your ankles Over the waterfall
I'm so heavy, heavy, heavy in your arms I'm so heavy, heavy, heavy in your arms
And is it worth the wait All this killing time Are you strong enough to stand Protecting both your heart and mine Who is the betrayer Who's the killer in the crowd The one who creeps in corridors And doesn't make a sound
My love has concrete feet My love's an iron ball Wrapped around your ankles Over the waterfall My love has concrete feet My love's an iron ball Wrapped around your ankles Over the waterfall
I'm so heavy, heavy, heavy in your arms I'm so heavy, heavy, so heavy in your arms
This will be my last confession I love you never felt like any blessing Whisper it like it's a secret Uttered to condemn the one who hears it With a heavy heart
Heavy, heavy, I'm so heavy in your arms Heavy, heavy, I'm so heavy in your arms Heavy, heavy, I'm so heavy in your arms Heavy, heavy, I'm so heavy in your arms

In december drinking horchata I'd look psychotic in a balaclava Winter's cold is too much to handle Pincher crabs that pinch at your sandals
In december drinking horchata Look down your glasses at that orxata With lips and teeth to ask how my day went Boots and fists to pound on the pavement Here comes a feeling you thought you'd forgotten Chairs to sit and sidewalks to walk on
You'd remember drinkin horchata You'd still enjoy it with your foot on masada
Winter's cold is too much to handle Pincher crabs that pinch at your sandals Here comes a feeling you thought you'd forgotten Chairs to sit and sidewalks to walk on You had it but oh no you lost it Lookin back you shouldn't have fought it
In december, drinkin horchata I'd look psychotic in a balaclava Winter's cold is too much to handle Pincher crabs that pinch at your sandals Years go by and hearts start to harden Those palms and firs that grew in your garden Falling down and nearing the rose beds The roots are shooting up through the tool shed Those lips and teeth that asked how my day went Are shouting up through cracks in the pavement
Here comes a feeling you thought you'd forgotten Chairs to sit and sidewalks to walk on You had it but oh no you lost it You understood so you shouldn't have fought it

Your sword’s grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It’s locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it’s done And though it’s been a long time You’re right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you’re giving up the gun
When I was 17 I had wrists like steel And I felt complete And now my body fades Behind a brass charade And I’m obsolete But if the chance remained To see those better days I’d cut the cannons down My ears are blown to bits From all the rifle hits But I still crave that sound
Your sword’s grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It’s locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it’s done And though it’s been a long time You’re right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you’re giving up the gun
I heard you play guitar Down at a seedy bar Where skinheads used to fight Your Tokugawa smile And your garbage style Used to save the night You felt the coming wave Told me we’d all be brave You said you wouldn’t flinch But in the years that passed Since I saw you last You haven’t moved an inch
Your sword’s grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It’s locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it’s done And though it’s been a long time You’re right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you’re giving up the gun
I see you shine in your way Go on, go on, go on
Your sword’s grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It’s locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it’s done And though it’s been a long time You’re right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you’re giving up the gun
No More Stories Are Told Today I'm Sorry They Washed Away No More Stories The World Is grey I'm Tired Let's Wash Away.

IL CONCERTO DELL'ANNO: EDITORS + THE MACCABEES + WINTERSLEEP (Roma/Teatro Tendastrisce) 03/12/09
SMOKERS OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL DOORS

Nel mezzo The Twilight Sad, Muse, Air, Arctic Monkeys, Thom Yorke...

We can never go home We no longer have one I'll help you carry the load I'll carry you in my arms The kiss of the snow The cranes that move above us Our blood is cold We're alone But I'm alone with you
Help me to carry the fire We will keep it alight together Help me to carry the fire It will light the way forever
If I say shut your eyes If I say look away Bury your face in my shoulder Think of a birthday The things you put in your head They won't stay there forever Our blood is cold We're alone, love But I'm alone with you
Help me to carry the fire We will keep it alight together Help me to carry the fire It will light the way forever Help me to carry the fire We will keep it alight together Now help me to carry the fire It will light up the way forever
If I say shut your eyes If I say shut your eyes There will mean surprise When I say shut your eyes
Help me to carry the fire We will keep it alight together Help me carry the fire It will light the way forever
Meet me on the equinox Meet me halfway The sun is perched at its highest peak In the middle of the day Let me give my love to you Let me take your hand And as we walk in the dimming light Oh, darling understand That everything, everything ends That everything, everything ends
Meet me on your best behavior Meet me at your worst For there will be no stone unturned Or bubble left to burst Let me lay beside you darling Let me be your man And let our bodies intertwine But always understand That everything, everything ends That everything, everything ends That everything, everything Everything ends
A window An open tomb The sun crawls across your bedroom A halo A waning moon Your last breath moving through you
As everything, everything ends As everything, everything ends As everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything ends
Meet me on the equinox Meet me halfway The sun is perched at its highest peak In the middle of the day And let me give my love to you Let me take your hand And as we walk in the dimming light Oh, darling understand That everything, everything ends
01. MEET ME ON THE EQUINOX/DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE 02. FRIENDS/BAND OF SKULLS 03. HEARING DAMAGE/THOM YORKE 04. POSSIBILITY/LYKKE LI 05. A WHITE DEMON LOVE SONG/THE KILLERS 06.
01 HORCHATA 02 WHITE SKY 03 HOLIDAY 04 CALIFORNIA ENGLISH 05 TAXI CAB 06 RUN 07 COUSINS 08 GIVING UP THE GUN 09 DIPLOMAT'S SON 10I THINK UR A CONTRA
