MUSICA: ASCOLTI MULTIPLI #2

PARIS IS BURNING/LADYHAWKE


Ecco un'altra infornata di musica nuova, nuovissima, in quest'autunno che si preannuncia prolifico. Comincio da miss Pip Brown, bionda neozelandese ex vocalist degli australiani Two Lane Blacktop, che esce col suo album d'esordio da solista col nome di Ladyhawke, preso in prestito dal film cult del 1985... Anni '80 che influenzano tutte le tracce dell'album, tanto che da un momento all'altro ti aspetti di sentir cantare "Get into the groove..." o "And girls, they wanna have fun...". Il disco non è niente male, le melodie potenti, il suono curato. Ne sentiremo parlare. Intanto ascolto Magic in loop, e non riesco a smettere. Ho smesso subito, invece, di ascoltare gli Jaguar Love, che trovo troppo chiassosi (il cantato a tratti è insopportabile) ed i Friendly Fires che sì, sono amichevoli e divertenti, ma non mi restano in testa, per niente. Un approfondimento invece lo meritano i Cold War Kids: Loyalty To Loyalty è un disco strano, molto compatto, per certi versi riuscito, ma un po' presuntuoso in qualche passaggio vocale fin troppo... Ubriaco.
Infine un po' d'elettrocnica, con Fujiya & Miyagi, che non è un duo giapponese, bensì un trio di Brighton, Inghilterra: a me ricordano vagamente gli Air, niente di trascendentale, ma è comunque un buon sottofondo per conversare, cucinare o rilassarsi.
