LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: HEAVY IS AS HEAVY DOES/MENOMENA

Heavy all the branches
Hanging from my fucked up family’s tree
And heavy was my father
A stoek man of pride and privacy

And I don’t care much for wishful thinking
Is heavy as I breathe
Because I don’t believe in second chances
Is heavy as I live

As powerfull as a man he was
Pride my father never was of me

I did it for survival
But i look like the asshole anyaway
You eat up all my breadcrumbs
Now I’m lost alone inside your cage
Among six billion people
I want the ones who never won and meet
I’m not one for religion
But I can’t see to ditch this energy

And I don’t care much for wishful thinking
Is heavy as I breathe
Because I don’t believe in second chances
Is heavy as I live
And I don’t care much for wishful thinking
I can’t breathe

Heavy all the branches

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: YET AGAIN/GRIZZLY BEAR

Yet again we're the only ones
No surprise, this is often how it's done
Lately it's about all I can take
I will but a man did more this break

Shout with another cry
I'm small but I can keep track
Too soon everyone just step away
I'm sure this isn't the last take

Take it all in stride
Speak, don't confide
We barely have a case
It's done before we try
It's darkened and by night
A desert in deface

Keep score, even playing feels this game
I know when all said are the same
If I could I would leave it all be
No chance to move backwards and see

Take it all in stride
Speak, don't confide
We barely have a case
It's done before we try
It's darkened and by night
A desert in deface
Take it all in stride
Speak, don't confide
We barely have a case
It's done before we try
It's darkened and by night
A desert in deface

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: DAY FOUR/BLOC PARTY

It’s in the trees
It’s in the leaves
This time I know what
That I’ll stay clear
Anything it gives
Anything it gives it will take back
This city is here for you

My life, much long
What I know who owns
It’s running out
Raise I, stay brave
But I know who owns
It will return

I found there
Rising from me
From my fingers
And all my mouth
If you’re ever lonely
If you are alone and stay that way
The c-c-city is here for you

My life, much long
What I know
It’s running out
Raise it, stay brave
But I know, it will return
On the fourth day
On the fourth day
On the fourth day
On day four

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: LAURA/BAT FOR LASHES

You say that they've all left you behind
Your heart broken, the poverty died
Drape your arms around me and softly say
Can we dance upon the tables again?

When your smile is so wide and your heels are so high
You can't cry
Get your glad rags on and let's sing along
To that lonely song

You're the train that crashed my heart
You're the glitter in the dark
Laura you're more than a superstar
And in this horror show
I've got to tell you so
Laura you're more than a superstar

You say that you're stuck in a pale blue dream
And your tears feel hard on my bed sheets
Drape your arms around me and softly say
Can we dance upon the tables again?

When your smile is so wide and your heels are so high
You can't cry
Get your glad rags on and let's sing along
To that lonely song

You're the train that crashed my heart
You're the glitter in the dark
Laura you're more than a superstar
You'll be famous for longer than them
Your name is tattooed on every boy's skin
Laura you're more than a superstar

You're the train that crashed my heart
You're the glitter in the dark
Laura you're more than a superstar
And in this old horror show
I've got to let you know
Laura you're more than a superstar
You're more than a superstar

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: PLANET EARTH/DURAN DURAN

Only came outside to watch night fall with the rain
I heard you making patterns rhyme like
Some new romantic looking for the TV sound
I'll see you're right some other time love

Look now, look all around
There's no sign of life
Voices another sound
Can you hear me now?
This is planet earth
You're looking at planet earth
Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
This is planet earth

My head is stuck on something precious let me know
If you're coming down to land is there
Anybody out there trying to get through
My eyes so cloudy I can't see you

Look now, look all around
There's no sign of life
Voices another sound
Can you hear me now?
This is planet earth
You're looking at planet earth
Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
This is planet earth

Look now, look all around
There's no sign of life
Voices another sound
Can you hear me now?
This is planet earth
You're looking at planet earth
Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
This is planet earth
Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
Looking at planet earth
Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
Calling planet earth
Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop
This is planet earth

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO TESSELLATE/ALT-J

Diretto da Alex Southam

Bite chunks out of me
You're a shark and I'm swimming
My heart still thumps as I bleed
And all your friends come sniffing

Triangles are my favourite shape
Three points where two lines meet
Toe to toe, back to back, let's go
My love it's very late
'Til morning comes, let's tessellate

Go alone my flower
And keep my whole lovely you
Wild green stones alone my lover
And keep us on my heart

Three guns and one goes off
One's empty, one's not quick enough
One burn, one red, one grin
Search the graves while the camera spins
Chunks of you will sink down to seals
Blubber rich in mourning
They'll nosh you up, yes they'll nosh the love away, but it's fair to say
You will still haunt me

Triangles are my favourite shape
Three points where two lines meet
Toe to toe, back to back, let's go
My love it's very late
'Til morning comes, let's tessellate

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: FUNERAL SONG/FAST ROMANTICS

I just got back from your funeral
You were lying on a sheet
With some strange man standing over you
As though he knew you more than me

But you've still got that body
And you can dress it up in black
But when I look at you
You don't look back

'Cause when I saw you at the spaceship door
They were calling you aboard
From all the people at your funeral
I couldn't take you anymore

But you've still got that body
And you'll remind us all of that
But when I look at you
You don't look back

I would rather give my heart
To the travelling band
I set out to sail the moon
And all that I found was sand
I would rather hold your heart
In my two hands
I set out to sail the moon
And I came back a lonely man

I would rather give my heart
To the travelling band
I set out to sail the moon
And all that I found was sand
I would rather hold your heart
In my two hands
I set out to sail the moon
And I came back so lonely

I just got back from your funeral
You were lying on a sheet
With some strange man standing over you
As though he knew you more than me

But you've still got that body
And you've reminded me of that
but when I look at you
You don't look back
When I look at you
You don't look back
When I look at you
You don't look back

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: APOCALYPSE DREAMS/TAME IMPALA

This could be the day that we push through
It could be the day that all our dreams come true
For me and you
Terrified me enough just another day

You're too terrified to try your best
Just to end up with an educated guess
Not success
Let us dance you wake up mystified

It feels so real in my sleep
Never felt so good so close I do with you
Until the day this could be feeling
Do you realise that I could feel it

Everything is changing
And there's nothing I can do
My love is turning pages
While I am just sitting here

Well am I'm getting closer?
Will I ever get there?
Does it even matter?
Do I really need it?
Wish that I'd remember
And I'm on the outcome?
Did I really want it?
Does it really matter?
It was only yesterday
Didn't even know you?
Now I'm gonna miss you

Nothing ever changes
No matter how long you do your game
It's the same to everyone else
Everything is changing
I guess I should want my love
But she'd just be excited

LA CANZONE DEL GIORNO: *DREAM-LOVER*/PURO INSTINCT

Lover
Dream lover
Lover
Dream lover

One quick glance in your brown eyes
Is like staring at the sun
On the brightest afternoon
Of summer in heaven
From the island of Eleuthera
To the streets of Kino Bay
I could spot a gem like you
From a thousand miles away

Lover
Dream lover
Lover
Dream lover

Wish that you could be all mine
But I'll take what I can get
'Cause I'm a fool for your love baby
And my mind's already set
Anywhere I tell myself I'd rather be
Baby you're already there
And when they try to tell me it's a fantasy
Baby you know I don't care

And when the Lagos sun sets
On my weathered weary soul
your beating heart gives me hope for tomorrow
Anywhere I tell myself I'd rather be
Baby you're already there
And every time I catch their eyes rolling at me
Baby you know I don't care

Lover
Dream lover
Lover
Dream lover
Lover
Dream lover
Lover
Dream lover
